Gracie's Bark Back in 2009 - Count Down Day 2

As the holidays approached Gracie had a minor slip-up with a chewing incident right before Thanksgiving. Check out Gracie’s Holiday Disaster! Keeping Gracie entertained is always a challenge. We welcome any suggestions!

 

We enjoyed our visit with Santa at the Villa. Gracie proved that she is a good girl when it came to telling Santa what she wanted for Christmas!  Check out Gracie & Santa!

 

We survived our first puppy sleepover with Buddy from Taunton. We took care of Buddy for an entire weekend and Rob & I were completely worn out!  We had a blast with both of them. Check out Grace & Buddy: A Day of Sniffing the Trails!

 

And, at the end of that weekend, Gracie was so tired that she slept on my lap the entire ride home. What a big yawn!

Gracie's Bark Back in 2009 - Count Down Day 3

Rob & I got our fishing licenses this year and had fun relaxing over at Lake Noquochoke. On our second time out we had quite a scare! Gracie decided to jump up at the fishing pole and actually got a fish hook caught in her mouth. Luckily, it ended up puncturing the side of her mouth in her lip and not her tongue. We were so fortunate she did not swallow it. We were so scared and nervous. We took her up to Bay State Vet Emergency Services in Swansea and they were wonderful with Gracie. They also calmed our nerves and made us so comfortable while we were waiting for her to have it removed.  

 They gave us the fish hook as a souvenir!

 

My Dad, Rob & I worked so hard this year on putting up a fence around my yard.  It was exhausting but totally worth it! Gracie blogged about her new found freedom of having a fenced in yard. Have you ever experienced the look of complete excitement in a dog’s eyes when they are free to run?

 

Play dates with our friends and their dogs are always fun. We had several this year with our friends Michael & Erin and their dog Cali from Methuen. Gracie and Cali have a ball together!

Gracie’s Bark Back in 2009 – Count Down Day 4

Gracie took the plunge this year! She learned how to swim. We were so proud. 

Hiking is one of Gracie’s favorite activities and we certainly visited a lot of the hiking trails this year. There are tons of dog friendly outdoor activities in the SouthCoast and we feature them on our bark blog (Sniffing for Activities). 

 

One of our biggest events this year was our trip to Bar Harbor Maine. This was our annual camping/cabining trip with all our friends. Gracie and Lexi met for the first time and became instant friends. We had a blast on our trip and so did our pups!

We’ve shared a great year together, Gracie, Rob & I.  Join us for a bark back at all the fun times we had with each other this year. We would like to count down the next 4 days with all of you! 

Lots & Lots of Toys for Gracie this Year!

Gracie was a bit spoiled this year with lots and lots of toys. We really need to get a toy bin at home!

Gracie was initially confused for a moment when we woke up this morning looking at all the snow, but once she got outside, she was so excited to play in it.
