We headed up to Boston on Saturday, September 18, 2010 with Gracie. We wanted to show Gracie much of what Boston is famous for - history, architecture, nature, and people watching - plus it is an excellent way to stretch your legs in the middle of a great city.
First we decided to park in the Garage at Post Office Square. On weekends the cost is only $9 for the day. They were also very nice and let Gracie ride up in the elevator to the lobby. Once in the lobby, since four legs and escalators really don't mix, we were directed to the elevator that leads right out into the Norman B. Leventhal Park. We came across a Piaggio and Gracie just had to take her picture with it.
We then headed straight for Tremont Street to visit the Boston Common. There were people everywhere! Gracie enjoyed chasing and stalking tons and tons of squirrels and looking at all the other sights along the way.
We visited the Pubic Garden with the famous Bronze Ducks and watched the Swan Boats float by.
After a quick break to rest her paws on the stairs of some big financial building, Gracie kept pulling us along by the Old State House Museum, through Faneuil Hall and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy,
...toward Boston Harbor, and right into Boston's famous North End. We stopped by Il Panino Express and Gracie watched her daddy from outside ordering some pizza. No dogs allowed in this take out italian restaurant!
All in all we had a great time. Gracie was exhausted and slept in the back seat of the car the entire ride home!
Do you have any pictures of your dog visiting Boston? We would love to see them! Email us anytime at GraciesBark@gmail.com.
And I would be the first to buy it! Seriously, with all the photo applications there are now, all these photos could easily be turned into "drawings" and make a beautiful childrens book with all of her adventure stories. There so many websites and applications to make your own books now too and they look like they came right out of a store. You've got to do it!

You are so sweet Stacie, thank you so much. Maybe a book should be next on the list for Gracie! I've actually been thinking about that a lot lately.
